International Travel: Frequently Asked Questions

Passports, visas, entry requirements and connections for international trips booked with FlighTicketHub.

Quick answer

Short answers to common international travel questions. Need something specific? Call (800) 490-3234 or email support@flightickethub.com.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, a valid passport is required for international flights, including to Mexico and Canada. Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories do not require one for U.S. citizens.

Do I need a visa?

It depends on your citizenship and destination. Check the official government site of the destination country, and apply early.

Who is responsible for travel documents?

You are. Airlines can deny boarding if documents are missing, so check requirements before booking and again before travel.

What if I have a long layover in another country?

Some countries require a transit visa even for a connection. Ask us about layover cities when you book.

Can you help with multi-country trips?

Yes. We can price open-jaw and multi-city itineraries and explain how each segment is ticketed.

Is international baggage different?

Many international fares include a checked bag, but not all do, and allowances vary by route and airline.
